

Referrals / Admissions
We aim to provide opportunities to work towards the academic qualifications necessary to open doors for pupils to positively and successfully re-engage with education. This could be to access mainstream, other appropriate school, or post 16 provision.
Admission to Regroup will be through the referral process outlined in our policy. Referrals can be made at any time throughout the year.
Number of places available
Currently, Regroup will provide education for up to 20 pupils. Each pupil will be offered 15 hours of education per week. Places will be offered for a minimum of 12 weeks (unless agreed otherwise with the commissioners) and offered to secondary learners.
Admissions criteria
Regroup will specialise in providing places for:

at risk of permanent exclusion
-
student on part time timetables ( Annex R ) and would benefit from a blended learning approach

who require alternative provision intervention from secondary academies / schools
-
who have been permanently excluded from secondary academies / schools
-
currently requiring an EOTAS package

Pupils with SEND
Admissions processes will evaluate the appropriateness of the placement at Regroup based on the following criteria:

If there is a place available.

Availability of space in the applicant’s year group.

Availability of space within suitable groups/classes; based on the applicant’s individual needs, and the collective needs of the group/class.

A detailed and up to date RA will be imperative to inform integration and induction conversations with parent and pupil.
